Dr. Lauren Whitlow, Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Lauren Whitlow, Psy.D. (she/her) is a psychologist who graduated from Marshall University. Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Whitlow has provided psychotherapy and psychological assessment services across outpatient, school-based, hospital, and integrated healthcare settings with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Whitlow completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Applewood Centers, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio where she provided individual and family therapy as well as psychological evaluations for children and young adults. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship with Achievement Center of LECOM Health and Corry Counseling Center, providing therapy in an outpatient setting. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral concerns, grief, substance use, gender dysphoria, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Dr. Whitlow has a particular interest in trauma-informed care and creating an affirming, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
Dr. Whitlow integrates evidence-based and individualized approaches to treatment, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed interventions, family systems perspectives, and mindfulness practices. Her background as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) further informs her holistic and collaborative approach to mental health and wellness. Dr. Whitlow believes therapy is a collaborative process rooted in authenticity, compassion, and trust. She strives to help clients build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward lives that feel meaningful and aligned with their values.
