Dr. Higgins is a Licensed Psychologist, with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Immaculata University. She completed an APA accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship at Drexel University’s Counseling Center and a Post Doctoral Fellowship with the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She has experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns including mood issues, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and identity development. She has a special interest in helping individuals identify their values and take steps towards living a more meaningful/fulfilling life, as well as helping individuals improve their relationships through mindful communication.
Dr. Higgins uses an integrative approach to therapy, relying heavily on CBT, ACT, Humanistic, and Mindfulness-based models. Dr. Higgins strives to build a genuine connection and relationship with her clients, and adapt her therapeutic style to meet their unique needs. She believes that creating an environment of trust and safety allows clients to tap into their strengths and take steps towards living their best life.
